Historic connections, modern care.
Our story began nearly 30 years ago with a small group home in Arcata. Since then, we’ve grown and changed, but we’ve never lost the close-knit, personal feel we started with. Members of our administrative team have worked together for more than 20 years, and some of the people we support have been part of our lives since they were children. Those long-standing relationships have helped create the close-knit, personal approach that continues to guide Radiance Living today.
At Radiance Living, we believe excellent support begins with truly knowing the person. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to supported living. Every individual has different strengths, needs, preferences, relationships, and goals, and their services should reflect that. We use a person-centered approach to build support around each individual. Whether someone needs a few hours of assistance or extensive daily support, our goal is to provide dependable, compassionate care while encouraging choice, independence, self-advocacy, and meaningful participation in the community.
We also believe that quality care depends on the people providing it. We are committed to carefully selecting, training, and supporting our Direct Support Professionals so they have the knowledge, guidance, and resources they need to do their jobs well. Strong communication and collaboration among clients, families, staff, service coordinators, and other members of the support team are an important part of the way we work.
